Current Trends in Family Medicine is a conference for any primary care provider looking to obtain the latest innovations and care trends. The conference will include updates in opioid management (ethics credit), legislative and coding updates, updates in sports medicine, endocrinology, and more. This annual conference, hosted by the Family Medicine Residency at The University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine, will be an excellent, local source of CME credits. Join us for this one-day activity with 7.0 hours of CME credit!


Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Understand the upcoming changes to coding through CMS guidelines, effective January 1, 2023
  2. Identify physiologic activity and application of new diabetic medications
  3. Describe and identify the use of anti-obesity medications and how to conduct a weight loss clinic visit
  4. Describe and implement opioid prescribing standards
  5. Identify and describe physician burnout. Describe avenues of mitigating burnout to enhance physician wellness.

Accreditation
The University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler is accredited by the Texas Medical Association to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
