Overview
To provide primary care physicians in East Texas with a comprehensive update on cardiovascular conditions that are commonly encountered in daily practice. The latest clinical trial evidence and clinical guidelines will be discussed along with case presentations illustrating how to incorporate the guidelines into clinical practice.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners should be able to:

  1. Describe different Pathologies that have thrombosis as mechanism for disease.
  2. Discuss prophylaxis and treatment evidence for these pathologies.
  3. Establish need for coordinated effort in the management of these pathologies.
  4. Articulate future directions in management of thrombosis

Accreditation
The University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler is accredited by the Texas Medical Association to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
