Lifestyle Medicine Conference detailing outline of the six pillars and providing general information to providers and clinical environments about introducing LM into their practice.

1. Explain the principles of Lifestyle Medicine and summarize the evidence supporting lifestyle-based prevention and treatment of chronic diseases, including diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and cardiovascular disease.
2. Apply practical, time-efficient lifestyle counseling strategies—including nutrition, physical activity, sleep, and stress management—within routine clinical encounters.
3. Use behavior change techniques, including motivational interviewing, to enhance patient engagement, readiness, and adherence to lifestyle interventions.
4. Recognize the impact of social, environmental, and mental health factors on chronic disease and integrate this understanding into patient-centered care.
5. Describe the role of multidisciplinary and community-based approaches in delivering effective Lifestyle Medicine interventions across diverse populations.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received in writing no less than 20 days before the course will be refunded, less a 20% administrative fee. No refunds will be made on cancellations received after that date. Please send cancellation requests to University of Texas at Tyler, [email protected].
