Overview
The 2026 UT Tyler School of Medicine Workshops on Wellness (WOW) Day will be hosted on Friday, Oct. 2, 2026, from 12 PM to 5 PM in the School of Medicine Building. Attendees will participate in a variety of learning opportunities aiming to improve and maintain personal and professional wellness across a variety of domains for UME and GME faculty, staff, and learners. Offerings include a Grand Rounds panel presentation addressing recovery from burnout, nine seminar sessions on different wellness-related topics, and a group movement class.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners should be able to:

  1. Identify at least one dimension of personal or professional wellness and one practical strategy to implement to improve functioning in this domain
  2. Identify the signs and symptoms of burnout and identify at least one method for effectively responding to burnout
  3. Identify at least one wellness resource within UT or the local community they may access if needed
  4. Connect with peers and colleagues to build social support and resiliency

Accreditation
The University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler is accredited by the Texas Medical Association to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
